Wheel Mouse Optical not working again!!!!?

I have a Fujitsu Toshiba laptop and a while ago when I turned it on the WMO 1.1 just wouldn't work. No light coming on it, nothing. So I said damn I will get another one... and not a few weeks later I turn on the computer and it's DEAD again!!!! =((( What could be wrong with it, are they just frying in my USB ports or something?
