How to connect HP dm4-1160us to my SONY trinitron TV ?

I am a technologically "handicapped" person and I recently bought a hp dm4 1160us with the main intention of doing some basic research and watch movies. I have a SONY Trinitron TV and would love if I could somehow connect my laptop to the TV so that I can watch movies. Also, I would like to use the TV's speakers for audio. Is there a way to do it ? The dm4 has a HDMI port, a female VGA port (like the one to connect to projectors) and an eSATA port. I also connect my playstation to the TV using the PS to Red/White/Yellow cable.
