Is it bad to skip the pill i want to get pregnant?

DO NOT TELL ME your stupid dont skip bla bla. My doctor told me its ok to skip the pill for 3 months....there are no proven side effects HOWEVER no one seems to understand how much pain i go through when ihave it it makes it impossible for me to get my period because i cant even go to work im in so much pain. My question is how ling after i stop taking the pill can i get pregnant.
