Dell 1420 VGA port will not work with cable to HDTV?

I got a cable from radioshack to connect my Dell 1420 to my Viore 32" HDTV. For the first few days it worked great, then just randomly quit working. When I plug it in now, the tv just says No Signal and won't pick it up at all. The cable is fine, and works on my roommates laptop. Is there some kind of reset or troubleshooter for my vga output?
